March of Dimes

Our friend Jeff is participating in the March of Dimes this year. The money raised by the March of Dimes supports research to help prevent babies from being born too soon, help educate women on things they can do to increase their chances of having a healthy baby, and provide comfort and information to families with a newborn (or two or three!) in intensive care.

Every day I'm so very grateful that our babies were born at 38 weeks, which is full term for twins. Most women who give birth to multiples aren't so lucky. Over 50% of twins are born premature, a statistic I was well aware of when I was pregnant with our boys.

Every day I was pregnant, I was terrified I would give birth to them too early. When I started to dilate when I was just 33 weeks and showing signs of preterm labor, I was so scared that my babies would spend time in the NICU, that they wouldn't be able to breathe on their own, that I wouldn't be able to bring my babies home with me. We are so very blessed to have happy, healthy babies and this is a wonderful organization who is working to make our story more of the norm, rather than the exception.

If you can spare a few dollars to support Jeff, please do! You can donate here:
