Here we go again

Just a few to kick things back in gear. As promised to many a friend and family member.....the blog shall live again. :)

Here is Aiden peeking through the window while bopping around outside. He loved Darryl's chicken coup -- mainly opening and shutting the doors for the chickens.

Last weekend, we had a family member pass away so we were off to Wisconsin for the funeral. It ended up being a girls trip + Aiden as Jack was sick, so me, Auntie Sarah, and Aiden all piled in to the van for the trip.

Can I just make all of you who don't have twins hate me for a second, and say traveling with one child = BREEZE! It was really nice to have that one on one time with Aiden, too. And by Sunday, Jack was feeling so much better that him and Daddy went to the zoo. They loved it.

I've been so very blessed to not only have Marilyn give me her glass cabinet when she moved, but I inherited a few treasures to put in it from Aunt Wilma. Thought my family would like to see.....

Talking!

Just a really quick post so I get this down somewhere where I won't lose it. The boys are talking -- just a little-- but Jack loves to say HI! -- a LOT. He also likes to say UP (Nana taught him yesterday) and tries to say kitty, duck, and a few other things.

Aiden is a little quieter (in fact, he likes to whisper) but favorite words include Da-Da and Ma-Ma.

And it's weird -- you see it click in their head what words mean. Like when you say "Let's go downstairs" they head for the gate. Or "lets have some lunch!" they boogie over to their highchairs. They know when I want them to get their shoes, Sophie, bear, bye-bye, and who knows what else they know. :)

Blogger is back

Sorry for the delay, folks. Blogger wasn't working for me yesterday.

This picture is noteworthy because my messy children are eating out of actual dishes. This is progress.

The vaccuum entertained the boys for like 30 minutes on Friday.

Seriously, why would I put it away when it is keeping them busy? So I just left it sitting out for a couple hours.

Aiden was focused on plugging the vaccuum in -- to itself.

Aiden found my hat and was quite pleased with it.

Darn. He looks cuter in it than I do!

Summer

Feels like SUMMER! It's been great weather lately (well today it's raining, but for the most part!), and the boys can't get enough of being outside.

My Little Pirates

Mommy splurged and bought us these pirate jammies -- they totally glow in the dark. How cool is that?

They love sitting in their chairs and looking at books!

We take the balls out of the basket, then we put them in the basket. Repeat. Then steal the one your brother is holding. Cry because he won't let you have it. Repeat.

We so badly want to climb on the furniture!

Yarrr! (That's pirate-talk).

Best we could do in terms of both of them together. A little blurry because they NEVER.SIT.STILL.

Only a few pictures this weekend. We were sick with colds, but the boys were happiest when they were out looking at things. So we went to Ikea, and the zoo for a quick walk. And me and Jack went to Target yesterday afternoon. They were great sleepers this weekend!

We want to march around, we don't want to ride in our strollers! Problem is, we don't follow direction very well.

Things I find hilarious about this picture:

1. I just realized I'm wearing leapord pajama pants in this picture. These are not supposed to EVER be seen by the public -- especially considering the fact that I bought them when I was 14. Yes, FOURTEEN. They were much cooler in 1998. OK, maybe they weren't even cool then.

2. Aiden is totally jumping ship here. He may sorta look like he's smiling, but he's trying to wiggle down.

3. The cat blanket (yes, our cats have a pink blanket in their favorite spot on the back of this chair by the window) is clearly featured. In our living room. Yes, we keep it classy at our house.

I'm so excited for the summer, when I have loads of time off from work!!!

Farm Babies!

So, we made a spur of the moment decision yesterday....the boys were in a good mood, and so we went to see Farm Babies at the zoo! So packed - but so worth it! Just a few pictures.....it's hard to hold babies AND take pictures (and make sure babies haven't wandered off......)
